A dismal attempt to revive the long dormant franchise, 'Vacation' is the fifth and by far, the worst entry in the hugely popular comedy series that began back in 1983. Ed Helms now replaces Chevy Chase in the lead role as Rusty, son of Clark Griswold, who decides to take his family on the holiday road to Walley-World - the iconic destination of the first movie. What ensues is an obscene and quite repulsive road-trip complete with fart jokes, projectile vomiting and more swearing than the first four 'Vacation' movies combined! Toilet humour is expected in the 'Hangover' films and any typical Happy Madison project - it is most certainly not expected in the infinetly smarter 'Vacation' franchise. The comedy in those beloved movies predominantly came from the oblivious naivety of it's central protagonist and the extreme lengths he would go to to make his family happy. The idea of 'comedy' in the minds of the writers of this abomination is a propensity for poop gags, the 'f' word and the outline of Chris Hemsworth's enormous penis.
